Yuki Kao (b. 1992) is a painter whose work explores emotional complexity shaped by her experience across cultures. Born in Japan and raised in Taiwan, she later lived in Los Angeles and Paris, where she studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and Studio Berçot. These transitions deepened her awareness of subtle emotional shifts, an awareness that continues to guide her work.

Working with oil, pastel, and oil stick, Yuki creates layered and introspective imagery that reflects the psychological spaces of memory and internal sensation. Her work draws from dreamlike impressions and nuanced internal dynamics, offering a quiet investigation into the nuances of the subconscious.

She is currently based in Taipei, where she continues to develop a body of work centered on emotion, memory, and psychological depth.
